This project required the design and coordination of both the window system and the ACM cladding panels. The initial design intent called for a unitized façade system; however, due to the building’s proximity to a railway line, the client requested an alternative solution that could be fully installed from the interior, minimizing exposure to external risks during installation.
The opaque cladding panels were integrated within the ribbon window modules, allowing for a seamless façade composition. The exterior wall cladding was executed using mechanically fixed aluminum composite panels (ACM), which were sealed with structural silicone to ensure weather-tightness and prevent water infiltration.
This dual-system approach required precise engineering and coordination to align both the fenestration and cladding elements, while meeting performance, accessibility, and installation constraints.
