Architecture – Envelope Design & Consulting – Management – PROBLEM SOLVING

This project involved the design and coordination of the façade systems, decorative aluminum frames, canopy, and signage elements.
The original intent called for fully welded aluminum decorative profiles. However, following a technical review and consultation with the fabricator—due to the high risk of deformation from weld heat and the extremely tight tolerances specified in the project requirements—it was decided to adopt a mechanically assembled solution. Solid aluminum plates were joined using concealed mechanical fixings, with limited welding applied only at key structural points. Continuous structural silicone joints were incorporated to ensure water tightness and long-term durability.
Due to the complex geometry at the canopy interface, a full 3D model was developed to study and coordinate the exact location of all joints and seams, ensuring alignment and consistency across all façade and canopy components.
