711 MONTGOMERY ENGINEERING

ENGINEERING – Consulting – Management – SHOP DRAWINGS – COORDINATION

One of the primary challenges of this project was to engineer a façade system that could be entirely installed from the interior—without the use of scaffolding or cranes. The façade features a full-height Metra window wall system, installed using head and sill receptors.
Modules were installed in a sequential sequence, closed by an adjustable “jolly” unit to accommodate dimensional tolerances. At the lower levels, custom 200 mm aluminum extrusions were integrated into the sill and head receptor assemblies to meet specific architectural and structural requirements.
After fixing and sealing the sill receptors with silicone, a bespoke slab cover was designed to mechanically attach to the sill profile while ensuring thermal and water performance.
This solution optimizes modularity, interior installation logistics, and façade integrity under challenging site constraints.
