422 FULTON ENGINEERING
This project involved the fabrication and installation of a decorative aluminum fascia and a multi-curved ceiling for the main lobby of a commercial building.
For the fascia, the key challenge was to design a system that could be installed without any on-site welding, while maintaining extremely tight production and installation tolerances. This was resolved by developing a lightweight substructure that was preassembled in the workshop, aligned precisely, and then fixed to the building’s structure during installation.
As for the ceiling, the creation of a prefabricated substructure, assembled entirely off-site and then reassembled on-site, allowed us to remain completely independent from the building’s superstructure. This approach ensured full control over dimensional accuracy and made it possible to achieve the complex curvatures within the required tolerances, without being affected by site deviations.
