Architecture – detail design – coordination – metal components

The project consists of a fully prefabricated helical steel staircase, entirely engineered and manufactured in Italy. The system was developed using advanced parametric 3D modeling to control geometry, tolerances, and connections with high precision.
The structure comprises curved box-section stringers with welded stiffeners and cross-bracing. Tread plates are individually fabricated and connected to the stringers via concealed bolted joints to ensure clean architectural lines and efficient load transfer.
A central curved wall, fabricated as a continuous steel shell, acts as both a visual and structural element, providing lateral stability and guiding stair alignment.
All components were dry-fitted and tested in the workshop before being packed and shipped to the U.S. in modular units. On-site assembly was performed without welding, ensuring rapid installation and minimizing construction impact.
This prefabrication strategy enabled tight quality control and seamless coordination with the project’s overall construction timeline.
